Canadian Museum of Nature

The official web site is www.nature.ca
You can't miss the Museum! The castle-like Victoria Memorial Museum houses several wonderful new galleries. A walk through this heritage building, which chronicles Canada's natural history, will take you back in time to when dinosaurs roamed the landscape and glaciers covered 80 per cent of the country's landmass. Exhibits examine the country's biodiversity, the history of Canada's aboriginal peoples and life in the far north.

The Canadian Museum of Nature's new glass "lantern" is now officially the "Queens' Lantern". The new name was proclaimed today during an unveiling of a plaque at the museum by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh. the above photo is the full panoramic view
