The official web site is www.aventurelafleche.ca
This site offers two very different activities the first is a visit to the Lafleche caves and the second activity which will have literally zipping across the trees!

Main building

Lake Armida

One of the frogs the kids tried in vain to catch

The out-fitting gazebo

They supply a helmet with a headlamp (the cave is low in many areas)

The cave’s temperature is a constant 4°C

We need to climb these stairs to access the upper section

Another passage

Not what you expect to see in most caves but most welcome as the roof is low along this section

The 'Dream Gallery' aptly named for the brave who sleep over in this cave section

Another passage

Another passage

This passage looks a little small for me!

Heading out of the last large section

Obviously the cave exit!

Here someone scampers along a boardwalk high up in the trees as he follows the Aerial section

The boardwalk along here offers a view of lake Armida below

Someone tires out the first 'zip' line across lake Armida

this is the last 'zip' line allows you to cross lake Armida to the start

Pros

  • Well organized site with knowledgeable and friendly guides
  • Two possible activities on one site
  • Family and bundle pricing for the single or both activities
  • Beautiful scenic location
  • Large covered picnic area with loads of seating
  • Only 20 minutes from Ottawa

Cons

  • Washrooms are those wonderful portables we all love so much
  • Site is under construction as it expands
  • Food offered on site is good but they offer a small selection
  • The Aerial section may be to pricey for some
